Transpire \Tran*spire"\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Transpired}; p.
pr. & vb. n. {Transpiring}.] [F. transpirer; L. trans across,
through spirare to breathe. See {Spirit}.]
1. (Physiol.) To pass off in the form of vapor or insensible
perspiration; to exhale.
